From 15 March, advisers will need to demonstrate they have the competence, knowledge, and skill to provide regulated financial advice to retail clients equivalent to the New Zealand Certificate in Financial Services (Level 5) V2. This goes for nominated representatives too.

To help fill any gaps, Strategi Institute is providing Closing the Gaps courses designed to provide a knowledge bridge between the old regime and the new. It’s targeted at those advisers who already hold a Level 5 financial services qualification but need to update it for the new regime. The course will also suit company QA/compliance staff and all those managing advisers.
